Our first encounter with donor relations at Tulane University, was at an Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP) annual conference. Their director had attended a demo of our reporting content collection and management tool—the early foundation of Mythos. Afterwards, she visited our booth and peppered us with questions. She seemed skeptical and vanished back into the crowd of attendees.

She reached out to us a month later. “Would you be willing to come meet with us and give a complete demo of the product?” It was 2020, and we were still traveling to every product demonstration. Our Head of Product and Chief Storyteller decided we both wanted to visit New Orleans to meet with her and to sample some Dooky Chase gumbo.
A few months later, Tulane was already using Mythos for endowment reporting and quickly became an example of how great ideas and our product could revolutionize how donor relations is done.
What makes this partnership particularly noteworthy isn't just the technical capabilities of the platform—it's the human element. The Tulane team found themselves supported by a partner who wasn't content with the status quo. Instead of letting them stay in their comfort zone, Mythos actively challenges them to explore new horizons in donor relations, from reimagining acknowledgments to revolutionizing gift agreements.
But perhaps the most telling aspect of this evolution isn't in the final products—it's in the process itself. The relationship has grown into a collaborative effort where questions are welcomed, challenges are addressed head-on, and innovation flows naturally. As Tulane continues to push the boundaries of donor relations, their story serves as a compelling example of how the right partnership can transform not just processes, but possibilities.
