How does Mythos keep my institution's constituent data safe and secure?

We go beyond industry norms by implementing a comprehensive, multi-faceted security strategy to ensure unparalleled protection of your valuable data.

The foundation of this approach is our SOC2 Type 2 compliance. But we also employ multiple 3rd party services to complement and extend that security posture.

Can Mythos integrate with my institution’s data systems?

Absolutely.

Mythos has API options for connecting to any system that also has API functionality. Mythos can connect with systems such as Salesforce, Blackbaud, Ellucian, Awarded, and others.

Does Mythos work with data from the [fill in the blank] system (e.g., Blackbaud, Fundriver, Salesforce, etc.)?

Yes, Mythos is designed to be data agnostic.

With Mythos, you don’t have to change, flatten, merge, or manipulate your data to make it work with the platform. Mythos adapts and maps to the format and structure of your data. Since 2012, we have not encountered a system or data format that Mythos cannot work with.

How does Mythos pricing work?

Mythos is modular so you have flexibility to choose and evolve the mix of modules that address your current and future needs. There are no required modules but certain combinations are recommended.

All content (including videos, images, and files), users, surveys, stories, responses, etc. are unlimited within each module. The only exception is that we offer tiered volume licenses for publishing to give you the flexibility to adjust as your print and/or digital volumes change over time.

Each module has one-time setup fees and an annual subscription price. Your total Mythos subscription is the sum of the subscriptions for the modules that you choose and your total setup fees is the sum of one-time fees for each module you are subscribed to.

How long does setup, training, and onboarding take? How much time should my team anticipate needing to spend on getting up and running?

We tailor our onboarding to your team and your timeline. So the overall calendar time for Mythos onboarding is based on your preference and availability for how fast you want to move through the onboarding process.

That process involves training on each module to which you are subscribed. Those trainings are scheduled to coincide with when you need to use them in your process.

Generally speaking, the total hours your team will need to spend on average is 10 hours but in some cases it may be as high as 20 hours. The high end is generally only relevant if you have a large team, multiple teams using Mythos, or are planning to publish a diverse set of communications.

Can the Mythos publishing tools create one-off communications or just data-driven, mass campaigns?

Yes. Both the PDF and website publishing tools in Mythos give you the ability to create single communications. You can tailor these one-off communications to individual recipients—whether that be a single person or a group of people.

Can Mythos handle multi-fund donor reporting?

Yes, this is very common and we have many customers doing this!

The Mythos publishing tools and our approach to variable data make this easy. And even better, you can decide how to best organize and present the multi-fund content in your reports.

Are there any contractual considerations to keep in mind?

A contract for Mythos subscriptions and services assume the following:

• Three-year contract term with automatic one-year renewals
• Standard Mythos security review (SOC2 attestation certificate, etc.) - fees may apply for custom institution-based security review (HECVAT or other)
• Ad hoc hourly rate for template updates and maintenance after initial template setup during onboarding process
• HIPAA BAA is not required/applicable
• Printing services are available but not included and are quoted as requested

Can Mythos be used for more than just restricted gift reporting?

Yes! Mythos Response Templates can produce any format of PDF and website communications that you want. Using the Mythos data-driven, storytelling approach can help you create engaging, donor-specific communications such as:

• Mid-tier/gift society reporting
• Donor proposals
• Acknowledgement letters
• Donor and alumni newsletters
• Cultivation communications

What is a typical timeline to get up and running with Mythos?

Most teams are fully effective on the platform in about 8-12 weeks but it does vary depending on the modules in your Mythos subscription and the volume and complexity of the communications templates you want to employ.

The Mythos onboarding process is tailored to you, your team, your Mythos subscription and engagement scope, and, most importantly, your internal schedule for your first communications project on the platform.

What that means is we adjust our training and support schedule to align to you and your team! So ultimately, the amount of time is really about how fast or slow you want to go with your first project.

How many resources are needed to fully leverage the power of Mythos?

We have teams of one that are able to get maximum value from the platform. Mythos is designed to streamline the entire process so small teams can get just as much return from Mythos as large teams.

What is the Advancement Services or IT lift to get Mythos up and running?

Getting Mythos up and running from a technical perspective is super simple.

There are two aspects of Mythos that will require some technical support to setup—Single Sign On Setup and Top Level Domain Setup.

Both are configurations that can be done very quickly using the Mythos Settings options and our documentation. Plus, if needed, our support team will provide live, one-on-one support as needed or even do the setup for you if required.

Are there limitations on content, number of users, etc. with Mythos?

No! With Mythos, you won’t get surprised by any usage charges. You get unlimited users, video content, surveys, survey responses, and stories. We even offer module subscriptions that allow you to align pricing to your needed reporting volume so you can start where you are and grow over time. Or you can reduce your PDF subscription as you move more to web-based communications.

Can Mythos automate the sending of transactional communications?

Yes! Using the Mythos API or via file upload, Mythos Responsive Templates can be configured to send communications on some set schedule based on time of upload or based on a data point provided in the feed or uploaded data.For example, when a donor makes their first gift or they join our loyalty circle, two weeks after they join, Mythos could automatically send a personalized communication.

Can Mythos be used for alumni engagement?
